If you have signed up for the Civil Service Exam or signing up for the exam, we will not send out any confirmations. Once you submit your registration, you are signed up for the exam. Do not forget to print and complete the Personal History Statement. The Personal History Statement is due the day of the exam.

The basic order of the hiring process is as follows:
- Civil Service Entrance Exam
- Interpersonal Skills Assessment
- Pre-Polygraph Interview
- Polygraph Examination
- Background Investigation
- Oral Interview Board
- Chief's Interview
- Psychological Evaluation
- Health Assessment and Drug Screen
- Placed on payroll and must successfully complete the Police Academy at the department's expense
- Must pass the State Licensing Exam
